Success of the Month/Appreciation Post II

Another month has past so tell us the good news!
Shelley:
♥I'm happy. I have something to hold on to. Something to strive for. I didn't (and still don't) care too much for numbers on bits of paper and this is different.
♥I'm doing my tutoring hw. always
♥I'm seeing the world through a new pair of eyes. I love it.
♥well NIN was a success. I can't stop listening to Billy Talent and Anberlin now so I'm guessing that was also a success.
♥I've realised so much potential, so much to look forward to. I want to burst open and show you my innards!

Eunice:
¶ Thank Goodness for dropping Maths Extension.
¶ My monologue went *rather* smoothly.
¶ Working on my american accent for no particular reason..
¶ I've managed to get up to page 39 of "Spy Cactcher: The Candid Autobiography of a Senior Intelligence Officer". Hooray. It is so technical and alot of the time I don't know what he's talking about. All these technological thingys.
¶ I haven't been tutoring since year 5. HA. HA. BRILLIANT. I feel high all of a sudden...

Vicki:
* I'm starting to really love tutoring. I think it's because I understand now! I do love English tutoring though, English teachers are just so insightful. And I feel like the dots are getting connected for me.
*I'm keeping up with my school work, which I know, isn't something to be that proud of, but I'm not falling behind, which is good
*I don't feel quite like a fraud in English 1 anymore! I guess they're really not going to burn me at the stake when the realize I'm not really an elite English student, because I sorta am?
*I'm starting to really enjoy playing piano. Sometimes it feels like a bit of a chore (especially long practise sessions, but I'm starting to love just playing, and the feeling of the keys beneath my fingers)
*And it was the first time I grew a watermelon! :)

It was that tiny (like pea sized), and then over the month, it grew and grew (from pea sized to about eyeball sized, to about tennis ball sized) to the size of about an apple (it only gets about that big). I have photos of all its stages, like a mum with a photo album of the development stages of her kid! Except mums usually don't eat their kids at the end.

For something so small, it sure has a bloody lot of seeds, though that's fun because I could practise seed spitting! Anyway, it's got cream flesh (this is one half of it, I ate half of it before I realized I needed to take a photo) because it's a heirloom variety that doesn't have pink flesh.
