Curious Question

Just wondering this while i was studying for legal ^^ See aren't i a good girl, i'm studying? Ok that wasn't the question.

The question is:

Would you go through with euthanasia if you knew you were terminally ill *touchwood* ?

Of course we're just assuming that it was legal. ^^

Oh and if you want you can answer if you think it should be legal in Australia?

Winnie
Hm i think i would try to enjoy every last day of my life and try to fulfill all the things on my 'to do list.' However if i knew that the pain i would be going through excruciating pain i would consider it.. i guess...
I think it should be legal people deserve to decide on how their life should end. ^^

Lee:
I would not consider euthanasia unless my condition was influencing the quality of other people's lives. By that I mean, if it was becoming incredibly expensive to keep me alive or people are distraught when they see me in a weak condition etc. I'd like to write a book or give speeches about my life at that point so that I can positively influence people and encourage them to be brave or 'carpe diem'. I'd want to use every moment wisely though. Just imagine if you did that now. I think the book Soul Mountain is relevant here. Anyone read it?
I think it should be legal but very strictly controlled.

Vtoffeef.
I'll just go with the flow and make my mind up whenever. I'll do what I feel is right and what must be done. I would NEVER write a book about my life. I wouldn't want to bore anyone to tears. ahem. Sally Morgan. Yes, you were against great odds etc. etc. Good for bloody you. Keep your satisfaction to yourself. There's no need to be so smug.

Jess:
How on earth did this come up while you were studying for legal?
Anyway, I think I would go with it. But not before trying, as you said, to enjoy life. I think I'd like to do stuff that I'd never gotten to do, and then go around saying goodbye to everyone and writing letters to all of you before going through with it.
