Sleep

This post shall be dedicated to sleep, because until these exams, I didn't realise how much sleep meant to me...and because I'm bored, and there's nothing else for me to do.

So sleep. What is it about lying on a mattress, wrapping yourself in blankets and laying your head on a hard/soft pillow that attracts us so?

Even Goldilocks recognised the need for a good nights rest after eating bowls of porridge and breaking chairs. And she was picky about it too! Too hard or too soft, and what exactly is the definition of a bed that is 'just right'?

Well, I can't imagine what finding the perfect bed would feel like, would I fall asleep instantly? I just know that my bed is bouncy, quite bouncy, perfect for sending knowing looks at each other and then jumping up and down on. My pillow is extremely soft, I don't understand the logic behind a hard pillow...I know it's good for the neck and all that rot, but I quite like comfort over practicality in this sense. I also have what I call my huggie pillow, an elongated pillow that I hug at night in the place of a furry bear or soft toy. And that is my bed.

Moving on.

Isn't it part of human nature for someone to come home after a long day's work and just want to throw themselves onto their bed and sleep forever? I know I do. After each one of these bloody tests, all I really want to do is burrow underneath my copious amount of blankets and hibernate for an entire year.

And I just cannot understand the concept of morning people! I mean come on, how can you look forward to the day after you've had to force yourself to get out of your warm, comfortable bed to suffer a whole day of boredom?

And it's worse in winter! I don't know how people manage to get themselves out of their beds in winter! How do you force your body to get out of bed on a cold winter's day? There are two options, to stay in bed and stay warm OR get out of bed and bloody freeze. I don't know about you, but the first option seems really appealing.

Imagine if human's didn't need to sleep...what would we do to occupy our time for...I don't know..how ever long you sleep. Sure, not needing to sleep would come extremely useful when it comes to cramming for tests...but gosh, I'm bored nearly all the time...I don't need more hours to be bored!

And yes. The reason I'm writing this is because I'm bored. Fantastic. Bloody fantastic. And I'm still bored.

Just realised...some guy in Korea just married his pillow...hmm...
