Its about reaching out of your comfort zone

The other day my dusty attic had one of those lightbulb moments and it went something like this:
- I don't like some aspects of other people
- They say you are annoyed by some traits that other people have because you also have them
- So the more I accept when it comes to other people, the more I will accept myself?
- SHOWTIME!

This is how it started:

Now I love to praise myself so I couldn't help but say: gosh I don't even listen to pop and now I'm listening to... KPOP?!?! This really is like the Sun rising from the South.

and then shockandhorror...this hit me:

(゚ー゚)(。_。)ウンウン I know. It's hard to believe I have a thing for gender benders. Kidding.
Look. He's even promoting our waffles. Must be fate.

I'll probably end up trying something like this:
I prefer artificial beauty. Then again, there's a reason for that white lighting. You can't see the shape of her nose. And she's already modified her eyes and skin.

Aigoo

Meanwhile:

I know these phases are short lived though. I can't wait to go back to this:

or wait...I was considered this?

The thing you least expect? I'm doing that next (゚Д゚)

Oh and in response to : 'Are your actions heavily restricted by your inhibitions?'
Yes. I think. I act accordingly. And also; Yes I'm menstruating 24/7 and gosh that MUST be the reason (you think) I'm being unreasonable. I don't know where that came from. I guess my answer is sometimes then.

Sleep

This post shall be dedicated to sleep, because until these exams, I didn't realise how much sleep meant to me...and because I'm bored, and there's nothing else for me to do.

So sleep. What is it about lying on a mattress, wrapping yourself in blankets and laying your head on a hard/soft pillow that attracts us so?

Even Goldilocks recognised the need for a good nights rest after eating bowls of porridge and breaking chairs. And she was picky about it too! Too hard or too soft, and what exactly is the definition of a bed that is 'just right'?

Well, I can't imagine what finding the perfect bed would feel like, would I fall asleep instantly? I just know that my bed is bouncy, quite bouncy, perfect for sending knowing looks at each other and then jumping up and down on. My pillow is extremely soft, I don't understand the logic behind a hard pillow...I know it's good for the neck and all that rot, but I quite like comfort over practicality in this sense. I also have what I call my huggie pillow, an elongated pillow that I hug at night in the place of a furry bear or soft toy. And that is my bed.

Moving on.

Isn't it part of human nature for someone to come home after a long day's work and just want to throw themselves onto their bed and sleep forever? I know I do. After each one of these bloody tests, all I really want to do is burrow underneath my copious amount of blankets and hibernate for an entire year.

And I just cannot understand the concept of morning people! I mean come on, how can you look forward to the day after you've had to force yourself to get out of your warm, comfortable bed to suffer a whole day of boredom?

And it's worse in winter! I don't know how people manage to get themselves out of their beds in winter! How do you force your body to get out of bed on a cold winter's day? There are two options, to stay in bed and stay warm OR get out of bed and bloody freeze. I don't know about you, but the first option seems really appealing.

Imagine if human's didn't need to sleep...what would we do to occupy our time for...I don't know..how ever long you sleep. Sure, not needing to sleep would come extremely useful when it comes to cramming for tests...but gosh, I'm bored nearly all the time...I don't need more hours to be bored!

And yes. The reason I'm writing this is because I'm bored. Fantastic. Bloody fantastic. And I'm still bored.

Just realised...some guy in Korea just married his pillow...hmm...

07 March 2010

Me??

I'm bored. So I find myself here. There is absolutely nothing left to do on the internet. Though I shouldn't be on here anyway, since I'm only a quarter of the way through my 12 page notes. Joy!

I'm hungry and can't be bothered to go downstairs, so I've stuffed my face with pringles and I'm beginning to suspect that they put drugs or something in them because I seriously can't stop eating them. *munch munch*

Dream job:
I want to be one of those dudes who sit around test games to check if they work. So seriously, for the whole day I'd just play games. How awesome. My eyes would start to fail, but heck who cares, gaming for a living. How cool. And if my parents go, wtf do you keep playing games for, FOR ONCE I CAN SAY I'M WORKING! Mwahahahahaha.. =)

Well that or...chef and open my own restaurant. If only I could cook. But yeah, for people to come in and eat food that I've prepared and love it, YES LOVE IT, would be awesome. =) But slightly stressful..hmm..

Ooh! I'd also like to see what being a butler is like..because they look so freaking cool. Like in The Nanny, and Batman. :D

Winnie:
I have no filter for either my mouth or my actions, and I only have a few things that I'm against...like stealing, underage drinking (though not that much...), smoking, drugs, blah blah blah, stuff that society and teachers have pointed at and said 'this is a no no. bad jessica bad'. but yeah, can't really concentrate, listening to Bel's insanely loud music (she's playing Down) and listening to my own, hardcore guitar battle, and it sounds really weird.

But I guess in a way my actions are limited by my inhibitions. You wouldn't find me doing drugs, smoking or stealing or any of that 'bad' stuff. I'm a good clean girl. (insert angel face)

I don't have to ask a question as well do I? I suck at asking questions.

So back to studying I go... and good luck everyone! It's tomorrow. It starts! THAT-WHICH-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED!! ..no more Harry Potter for me..

Love, Jess

P.S. no not just love..LOTS OF LOVE! KISSES FOR EVERYONE!

Eye Candy

Eye candy time~~~

I just thought these people looked hot and yes they are asian xppp

Wiiiii ~ My turn

I did say to myself i would be off the net and try and study but as you can see that failed miserably. xpp

I'm excited for the dance and ... kinda for the walkathon. I hope you guys all are.

I don't really see the point in this post so i'll say something meaingful.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Friends are forever
And i love you

How cute ^^ ( its late- my brains off xppp, so don't think its gay)

Now to answer Shelley's question:
Well, i wanted to be a pilot so that i could see the world ^^ and in between open a really nice cafe surrounded with glass, where customers could write notes on and stick onto the wall. Also in the middle would be a water fountain ^^ The cafe would be staffed by hot eye candy and serve only the best. I want to be a superb cocktail maker and dessert maker.( but i hope to do that anyway)
I have loads of things i want to do ^^ i wouldn't mind being an idol in an asian country, in a way it seems fun and having people admire you for your talent and appearance is nice (though i can't really sing nor dance, i wish i did though)

I want to ask you guys a question to:
'Are your actions heavily restricted by your inhibitions?'

I would like to wish you all good luck in your tests (there, i mentioned it xpp )

P.s. Shelley i L_ _ _ you ^^ Hope i've turned you to kpop.

06 March 2010

I'm next :D

I was listening to this audio of the 50th Gate searching for CH42 and wondering; how can you possibly listen to this without falling asleep? I did actually have a power nap right then and there. Perhaps foreshadowing? Has anyone actually written TWELVE pages of notes?

Also, I just realised I've never been in a food fight.

Question:
What would your dream job be if money/education/intelligence wasn't an issue?
I'd want to be a librarian. Not just any library though... a very antiquated library with musty leather-bound books and amazing clerestory windows with plush seating. And an area of rare first editions kept in pristine condition behind blind doors or in a glass room somewhere. Of course, at night, the basilica style hall is open to the public for formal balls and cocktail parties and gentlemen's/women's clubs.
Tell me yours!

The First (or maybe Second) to a New Beginning!

Me! Me! Me! I accept!

While retrieving the password to my BoS account to help me with (what LEE calls) the "Unmentionable" I came across your little email so it MUST be a sign! Anyways, I'm here wasting time perhaps, as I attempt to escape the daunting task of China.

I say we prove M.H. wrong! And do something nerdy as suggested by Tiff.

Anyways, must dash: I have a date with China!

So, who goes next?

Reborn

Other than the obvious implications of the title (i.e. I'm attempting to revive the blog and taking a breather from studying)its also the name of an online shop that I really quite love so um.. hint hint when you all become Richy Rich.

So while W.L., M.H. and I were at the gravitational sigularity of the blackhole known less commonly as the Municipality of Kogarah, we discussed what we would like to read on the blog.
W.L.: Weeeeeee...lets get everyone to write something about their week.
M.H.: Oh I dunno mun I don't think many people would be open to talking about their week...yah mun. (she was very Jamaican that day)
Me: Drop Snap compared to LookBook.nu is like Net-a-Porter compared to Super. I mean Supre (at Tiff). [back on track I swear] Maybe we could use it to trade notes or something equally nerdy?

Later I thought...if we weren't such nerds maybe we could start a bookclub. With our wide range of views and interests , I'm very curious.

So men, how'd you like to prove M.H. wrong? It doesn't have to be deep sentimental teary stuff... remember we're all on this blog to forget that we have the Unmentionables coming up. No I don't mean periods. On the other hand don't be too chirpy. That also pisses people off for some reason. And what about me? I just found out that the UMAT is two days before our Trials kick off. BOOYAH!

Who dares go first?

28 December 2009

How'd you go? and for next year?

You might not remember but this time last year some of us made new years resolutions. So tell me what failed and what went swimmingly and what changed. Did you find that your goals changed or are they very much the same?

Make a new set of New years resolutions!

S.D.:
I have different hair and contacts. I haven't really improved academically. I haven't been as melodramatic and I still don't take anything too seriously. I'm not very healthy ahaha and I still talk a lot of bullshit. I have both black and colour yeah! I don't know if I'm more domineering or dominating.

This year:
♥ decide where I want to be in life career-wise and get there
♥ disregard people that I do not care for / stop wasting time
♥ be my own source of motivation
♥ be a lady / grow up
♥ exercise regularly
♥ read widely

V.L:

Ooh! I'm not really sure how helpful New Years Resolutions are, since I broke my second one from last year in like February. I couldn't help myself! But erm, I did manage to get down to a size 6, and then decide that starving myself was no fun and have bounced back thanks to those squashed marshmellows Shelley (I think squashed marshmellows are actually nicer than non-squashed ones.) and a lot of ice-cream. I think I'm different, more mature, and not as worried about what everyone thinks, because I've realized it actually really doesn't matter. I'm in a really good place now after a few rocky months, but that's all been sorted out, and I don't think I'm going to make many resolutions because I already have personal goals that I'm working towards. :)

Just one:
♥ Be happy!

"People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing - that’s why we recommend it daily."
Zig Ziglar

<3 Wii's
Hehe after i read back on my last years resolution i realised they didn't really influence me to do anything that's not the norm. But yes i guess i did achieve many of those resolutions. Lets see... well i did get a new hair cut ^^ *beams* and i guess my grades in year 11 were pretty good, i didn't really lose weight, well i did expand my vocab , i mean even one word is counted as fulfulling that one.

But yes this year my resolution is to try my best for the hsc year and to have loads fun after. My motto : Work hard and party hard

Wee and now its time for bed. sweet dreams everyone. ^^

IF i Had $$$

WOW! as i would say 'WoH'
this things still going?! impressive!! :P
yea so anyway :D right now im staring things i wanna buy. First on my list is a guitar- i have two in mind :

1Maton Em225C Acoustic Electric Guitar $1199

  • Maton AP4 Pickup and soft cutaway
  • Solid Sitka Spruce soundboard
  • Queensland Maple Back, sides & neck (laminated)
  • Australian Made

2. Ibanez Artwood Studio 1000ECE NT Acoustic-Electric Guitar $1149

  • Solid Sitka Spruce Top
  • Solid Mahogany back & sides
  • Mahogany neck
  • B-Band A5T preamp

Its highly unlikely that'll i will ever have that amount of money
and if i did i'd be hesitant to spend it all in one go :( so there's this other guitar (lol) but the only thing is its not solid but laminated rose wood, which is a
good wood though and its cheap.

Ashton D65SCEQ$489 Ashton D35CEQ $515.90

on SARS

So in Physics today we were discussing how technological advances were made mostly due to war and the desire to kill things (yadda yadda yeah I know. Let's not argue) and then somehow we started talking about SARS.

and my teacher said; "for...birth control?"

Authenticity

So I was doing English homework which related to philosophy (to be more exact, authenticity) and came across this.

I think its interesting. And if we were all to take advice from that article, we'd all be more interesting, attractive people. Wouldn't that be nice?

And yes. I was doing English homework D:

30 October 2009

Hello. I have found yet another thing to do with my time. Instead of doing this, I should be doing my tutoring work, but of course, I am the master of procrastination. I can literally just sit in front of my computer and stare at the screen to get out of doing work. Anyway. That's not the point.

I was wondering if it was possible to actually write up a study planner for each day and actually stick to it. I mean, the way I'm going right now...I'm going to end up failing my HSC because I never planned my days properly, nor did I actually do any substantial work. If fact, the only work that I've actually done today is my maths work...which is due on Monday, partly because I didn't want to start my tutoring work.

For shame.

Anyway study planner. I need one. Perhaps I should buy one...anyone know where I can get a nice one?

Resurrection

Hello...lo...lo...lo
Hi.
-rant-
'Why?' you may ask, 'Should we resurrect this little private blog thing?' But let's face it, being "independently minded young women" really means that we're passive agressive and that we don't ask questions in class very often (yes I have to have a go at you in every post). So I'm pretty sure that none of you were actually wondering why I'm attempting to resurrect a dead blog about...attractive dead men...
um ANYWAY, the answer is: MEEEEEEE

*points at head*
Yeeeaaaahhh...you know what this is about.
This is about me having difficulty being unique on my own. Because I don't want to be different. But I don't want to be like everyone else. I don't want to eb unique but everyone else has to be unique with me because otherwise I'd feel like the black sheep and everyone else would look at me funny. But if everyone else was unique like me then I wouldn't be unique unless I tried not to be unique. AHAHahaha I'm kidding.
-end rant-

Well I wasn't really kidding that much. I'm just trying to turn this into one of those articles that sort of goes in circles and you never quite know if they're going in circles because they sort of go of on tangents about turds and that douche bag over there with the fingers that smell like...

ANYWAY.
the point is....
I guess the main thing I'm trying to get across is...

Let's all dye our hair unnatural colours. I'm talking all the Special Effects colours...apart from pitch black. So blues, oranges, yellows, pinks, purples, lemons, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries. I'm hungry can you tell?
WHO'S WITH ME!?!?! EH? .... EH???

fine. humph. you bastards.

I'll do it if you do it ^^ but yeah you do need to bleach first. It's times like these I wish I was born as an albino.

How cool would it be to go out as a group huh? we'd look like...asians with strange hair!

Oh yeah and I'm really glad we're not the angsty teen group with our own private angsty blogs where we talk about really angsty shit that noone wants to read about anyway. I'm so over the angsty crap ^^ zero-tolerance.

Just one:
♥ Be happy!

1Maton Em225C Acoustic Electric Guitar $1199

  • Maton AP4 Pickup and soft cutaway
  • Solid Sitka Spruce soundboard
  • Queensland Maple Back, sides & neck (laminated)
  • Australian Made

2. Ibanez Artwood Studio 1000ECE NT Acoustic-Electric Guitar $1149

  • Solid Sitka Spruce Top
  • Solid Mahogany back & sides
  • Mahogany neck
  • B-Band A5T preamp

Its highly unlikely that'll i will ever have that amount of money
and if i did i'd be hesitant to spend it all in one go :( so there's this other guitar (lol) but the only thing is its not solid but laminated rose wood, which is a
good wood though and its cheap.
